Here is an outline of the story by year 5 pupils:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-3168\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ysgolmynyddbychan.cymru\/wip\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/image0-3-300x225.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"175\" height=\"234\" \/>Once upon a time, two children named Rhys and Meinir lived in Nant Gwrtheyrn, North Wales.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-3177\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ysgolmynyddbychan.cymru\/wip\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/image1-300x225.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"180\" height=\"240\" \/>Meinir&#8217;s father, Ifan secretly hoped the two would marry in the future.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-3188\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ysgolmynyddbychan.cymru\/wip\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/image2-1-300x225.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"179\" height=\"238\" \/><\/p>\n<p>One day, Rhys declared his love for Meinir by carving a love heart with their initials on the old oak tree.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-3192\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ysgolmynyddbychan.cymru\/wip\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/image3-2-300x225.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"191\" height=\"255\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On their wedding day, Meinir followed the custom at that time and hid from Rhys, in order for Rhys and his friends to find her. She hid in the old oak tree. Unfortunately, no one managed to find her.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-3198\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ysgolmynyddbychan.cymru\/wip\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/image3-300x225.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"185\" height=\"246\" \/>Rhys was devastated, and spent the rest of his life living wandering the countryside searching for Meinir. On one stormy evening he sat by the old oak tree to shelter from the thunder and lightning.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-3233\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ysgolmynyddbychan.cymru\/wip\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/image5-1-300x225.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"185\" height=\"247\" \/>Suddenly, a lightning bolt hit the old oak tree, and between its split trunk, Rhys saw Meinir&#8217;s remains in a wedding dress. As he raised his hand to touch the skeleton, another lightening bolt struck Rhys and killed him.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-3234\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ysgolmynyddbychan.cymru\/wip\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/image7-1-300x225.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"188\" height=\"251\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Rhys was found dead holding Meinir&#8217;s skeletal hand with a smile on his face and the two were buried together in the churchyard.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Teacher:\u00a0Iolo Williams Out class theme this year is Cofio Canrif.
