Year 4 – Owain Glyndŵr

Our class has been named after Owain Glyndŵr. Here is some information about him. Owain Glyndŵr was a famous leader and he was the last Welshman to be proclaimed Prince of Wales – that being over 600 years ago! He led a long and fierce revolt against the English crown but his efforts were ultimately unsuccessful. There is no record of Owain’s death but some believe that he is asleep in a cave awaiting the right time to return to lead the Welsh once again.
