Our class has been named after Owain Glyndŵr. Here is some information about him.

Owain Glyndŵr was a famour leader and he was the last Welshman to be proclaimed Prince of Wales – that being over 600 years ago! He led a long and fierce revolt against the English crown but his efforts were ultimately unsuccessful. There is no record of Owain’s death but some believe that he is asleep in a cave awaiting the right time to return to lead the Welsh once again.

We are preparing to write a fictional story here in year 4. The class are busy reading ‘Dosbarth Miss Prydderch: Y Carped Hud’ (Miss Prydderch’s Class: The Magic Carpet) by Mererid Hopwood and, based on this, have thought of their own fictional character and have started to plan a main event in their story. Can you think of a good (Welsh) title for your story? Can you also think of 3 main events for your story in the form of a comic strip (attached).
